Pledge Drive Information Center
GOAL: $146,600
Silver Oak Educational Partnership (SOEP) believes that as a community, if we achieve our pledge participation goals, it will not only reinstate funding for the overall enrichment and support that SOEP provides for Silver Oak, it will also forge a powerful team of families committed to an elementary school experience for our children that is above and beyond what is otherwise possible.
Every family's participation in our annual pledge drive is needed and so very appreciated to continue Silver Oak's tradition of excellence in education. Silver Oak relies on funding from the district, as well as financial support and program management from SOEP to provide an enriched and balanced education that shapes every student's elementary school years here.
We encourage all families to pledge $358 per student to allow us to meet our current program and school support commitments. If you are able to pledge an amount higher than $358, it allows SOEP to explore other ways to invest in our classrooms and better support the needs of our students and teachers.
Is the Pledge request higher this year?
In short, the pledge drive this year is hoping to fund all our usual school day programs the SOEP/ PTO has funded in the past. In recent years past, the pledge need per student was $375. This year the need per student is $358, and while costs continue to rise, the SOEP Board continues to work to cut costs.
Last year was exceptionally low ($187 per student). Just before the start of the 2025-2026 school year, the school day enrichment programs were pending approval at the district due to the Evergreen School District having changed it policies for approving school day enrichment programs. Due to the late notification of this policy change and lack of clarity on how to meet the new requirements, we were unsure of when we could obtain approval for Music and STEAM programs, so this cost was not a part of the pledge drive for 2025-2026, and was covered by emergency reserve funds, once the programs were approved.
Extracurricular programs that are organized by SOEP/PTO are NOT FUNDED by pledge dollars. Programs such as Plays, Math Olympiad and Math Kangaroo are self-funding programs that are paid for by registration fees.

Classroom and Grade-Level Incentives
All classrooms that reach 100% pledge drive participation at any pledge level will be awarded with a donut day!
PTO will provide a pizza party for the top lower and upper grade classrooms! Students with food allergies will be offered a safe meal.
6th Grade as a whole will be challenged to reach 75% participation to receive outdoor graduation signs.

Pledge Dollars at Work
Your pledged donations support a variety of classroom enrichment programs, school grants, and community events. Here is our preliminary budget for how pledges will be spent for the 2026-2027 school year. SOEP/PTO strives to fill gaps that cannot be supported with the school's operating budget from the district. We work closely each year with school leadership and the teaching staff to determine where funds are best invested to achieve the goal of an enriched and balanced curriculum for our kids. Individual Student Incentives
Gold, Silver, and Bronze Pledge Level Drawings will be held on Friday 9/4, 9/18, and 10/2!
GOLD LEVEL: Pledges of $500+
Decorate a Personalized 6x6" Tile: All Gold-Level pledge students will be invited to decorate their own 6x6" tile that will be permanently installed on our tile wall near the Multipurpose Room (no business ads, please).
Gold Auction Entry: All Gold-Level pledge students will be given the opportunity for a chance to win one of these coveted items (details will be sent to the email address you provide on the pledge form):
- Name the Bus Loop (auction dates 9/4-9/6)
- Bus Loop Parking Spot (auction dates 9/18-9/20)
- Main Lot Parking Spot (auction dates 10/2-10/4)

Every Day Matters — Every Donation Makes a Difference
Pledge donations of any amount will be recognized on the pledge wall in the Multipurpose Room.
Please note that student names will no longer be displayed on the pledge wall, per district rules.
Rules & Notes
1) Eligibility is NOT cumulative per family; it is based on the individual student pledge. (For example: If Child 1 pledged at $500 and the sibling, Child 2, pledged at $350, Child 1 is eligible for GOLD level incentives and Child 2 is eligible for SILVER level incentives. If the siblings each pledged less than $350, neither sibling qualifies for GOLD or SILVER level prizes.)
2) The pledge levels and associated prizes are based on personal contributions only. Corporate Matching funds are not included in the personal pledge total amount.
3) Students may only win 1 drawing prize. If a prize is won, the winner's name is removed from future drawings unless the prize is refused. To refuse a prize that is won, please email the Pledge Team a minimum of 1 week before the next drawing at soepto.pledge@gmail.com. Refusing a prize does not guarantee another prize will be won, but the student's name will be returned to the subsequent drawings.
4) Prizes, trips, and other incentives are subject to possible change. We avoid this wherever possible, but if it is necessary, adjustments to details and offerings may be made.
Classroom Pledge Drive Incentives
100% CLASS PARTICIPATION:
Donut Party!
PTO will provide a donut party to every class with 100% pledge participation at any level!
Students with food allergies that prevent them from having a donut will be awarded with an alternative treat.
HIGHEST PLEDGE CLASSES:
Pizza Party!
PTO will provide a Pizza My Heart pizza party for the top lower and top upper grade classroom!
Students with food allergies will be offered a safe meal.
6th GRADE PLEDGE DRIVE CHALLENGE
Reach a combined participation percentage of 75% and receive outdoor graduation signs for their 6th grade promotion event!
Ask Your Company about Corporate Matching
Corporate matching programs are a wonderful way to double your donation at no additional expense to you! Many employers will match your pledge drive contribution if you follow their program guidelines.
Suggested Steps:
- DOES YOUR COMPANY MATCH? - Search your company's internal website or inquire with your company's HR Department about employee donation matching.
- INQUIRE HOW TO SUBMIT A CLAIM - If your company does match donations, ask about their procedures to request a match as the procedures can vary from company to company.

Volunteer-Grants
Volunteer-grant programs are offered by a number of generous companies in support of employees who volunteer their time with charitable organizations. Parents of such companies can submit their time spent volunteering for the Silver Oak PTO. Once verified, companies then send a matching hourly-rate donation for the volunteer time worked.
The hourly rate, maximum hours possible, and submission procedures may vary from company to company. Inquire with your employer about this program and their submission specifics. Feel free to contact our Corporate Match Coordinator at soepto.pledge@gmail.com for assistance if needed.

Winners are announced live at school during morning announcements on the day of the drawing. Families will be contacted by the pledge team with information regarding their prize. Students that did not win, but have met the Gold, Silver, or Bronze level pledge qualifications will remain in the pool for future drawings.
