PLEDGE DRIVE TOTAL TO-DATE:  TBD (as of ...)

GOAL: $83,787

Silver Oak Educational Partnership (SOEP) believes that as a community, if we achieve our pledge participation goals, it will not only reinstate funding for the overall enrichment and support that SOEP provides for Silver Oak... it will also forge a powerful team of families committed to an elementary school experience for our children that is above and beyond what is otherwise possible.

Every family's participation in our annual pledge drive is needed and so very appreciated to continue Silver Oak's tradition of excellence in education. Silver Oak relies on funding from the district, as well as financial support and program management from SOEP to provide an enriched and balanced education that shapes every student's elementary school years here.

We encourage all families to pledge $187 per student to allow us to meet our current program and school support commitments. If you are able to pledge an amount higher than $187, it allows SOEP to explore other ways to invest in our classrooms and better support the needs of our students & teachers.

Why are is the Pledge request lower this year and why are enrichment programs pending?

As of 8/8/25, Evergreen School District has changed it policies for approving school day enrichment programs. Due to the late notification of this policy change and lack of clarity on how to meet the new requirements, we are unsure of when we can obtain approval for the following enrichment programs:

  • TK and Kinder Music with Mr. Henry
  • 5th and 6th grade Ukulele
  • STEAM Lab experiment development and support

It is our sincere hope that we can get clear direction from the Evergreen School District soon and continue providing these beloved enrichment services to our students.

For more details on this matter, please review this Letter to the Board of Trustees 8/14/25.

Since we do not know when or if we can provide these enrichment services we will not be requesting funding for these programs and will instead use our emergency fund to pay for these contracts, since they were signed prior to the district informing us they would not accept them.

Extracurricular programs that are organized by SOEP/PTO are NOT FUNDED by pledge dollars. Programs such as Upper Grade Plays, Math Olympiad, Math Kangaroo, and Talent Show are self-funding programs that are paid for by registration fees.

Thank you for helping Silver Oak "Grow and Succeed" as our kids return for the 2025-2026 school year!

Pledge Dollars at Work

Your pledged donations support a variety of classroom enrichment programs, school grants, and community events. Here is our preliminary budget for how pledges will be spent for the 2025-2026 school year. SOEP/PTO strives to fill gaps that cannot be supported with the school's operating budget from the district. We work closely each year with school leadership and the teaching staff to determine where funds are best invested to achieve the goal of an enriched and balanced curriculum for our kids. Thank you for your support!

Rules & Notes

1) Eligibility is NOT cumulative per family, it is based on the individual student pledge (For example: For 1 child pledged at $450, and the sibling pledged at $375, Child 1 is eligible for GOLD level incentives and Child 2 is eligible for SILVER. If the siblings both pledged less than $300, neither sibling qualifies for GOLD or SILVER level prizes.)

2) The pledge levels and associated prizes are based on personal contributions only. Corporate Matching funds are not included in the personal pledge total amount.

3) Students may only win 1 raffle prize. If a prize is won, the winner's name is removed from future drawings unless the prize is refused. To refuse a prize that is won, please email the Pledge Team a minimum of 1 week before the next drawing at soepto.pledge@gmail.com. Refusing a prize does not guarantee another prize will be won, but the student's name will be returned to the subsequent drawings.

4) Prizes, trips,  and other incentives are subject to possible change. We avoid this wherever possible, but if it is necessary, adjustments to details and offerings may be made.

Ask Your Company about Corporate Matching

Heart Hands - Does Your Company Share the Love?

Corporate matching programs are a wonderful way to double your donation at no additional expense to you! Many employers will match your pledge drive contribution if you follow their program guidelines.

Suggested Steps:

  1. DOES YOUR COMPANY MATCH? - Search your company's internal website or inquire with your company's HR Department about employee donation matching.
  2. INQUIRE HOW TO SUBMIT A CLAIM - If your company does match donations... ask about their procedure to request a match - they can vary from company to company.
  3. NEED PTO ASSISTANCE? - Contact our PTO Corporate Match Team at soepto.pledge@gmail.com if you need any assistance from us with your Corporate Match submission.

Please be sure to select SILVER OAK EDUCATIONAL PARTNERSHIP Tax ID# 77-0412332  to ensure the donation stays with our school rather than being used elsewhere in the district. Thank you!

We are happy to work with you to help your submission meet the matching guidelines of your company. If you have questions about how to apply for corporate matching, click here for our FAQ, or send an email to our Corporate Matching Coodinator at soepto.pledge@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support!

Volunteer-Grants

Time = Money

Volunteer-grant programs are offered by a number of generous companies in support of employees who volunteer their time with charitable organizations. Parents of such companies can submit their time spent volunteering for the Silver Oak PTO. Once verified, companies then send a matching hourly-rate donation for the volunteer time worked.

The hourly rate, maximum hours possible, and submission procedures may vary from company to company. Inquire with your employer about this program and their submission specifics. Feel free to contact our Corporate Match Coordinator at soepto.pledge@gmail.com for assistance if needed.
