Silver Oak Fine Arts is comprised of music, art, and performing arts. SOEP/PTO supports both in-class music and art instruction for all grades, as well as coordinates extracurricular Fine Arts programs that students have the option to register for and participate in over the course of the school year.

Our classroom Fine Arts programs are funded by our annual Pledge Drive. Extracurricular offerings are self-funding via registration fees to cover program costs.

CLASSROOM STUDIO ART

Arts Attack is a year long program, offering monthly art projects for the students to complete in the classroom.

Teachers work with students on an art project at the end of the School Year which is displayed for the entire school to enjoy and during Open House for any new families to get a sneak peek at some wonderful art projects that students of Silver Oak Elementary have worked on.

SCHOOL PLAY

The school play is performed by students in the Fall and they are instructed on every aspect of performing in a play from dialogue delivery to performing in front of an audience which definitely prepares them for public speaking in the future.

Students in Grades 1-6, this is your chance to shine on stage in our holiday choir!  Get ready to spread holiday joy, one song at a time!

This year, we’re excited to partner with CLAP Arts to bring you our annual Silver Oak Holiday Choir!  Partnering with CLAP Arts allows us to offer students a more comprehensive choir experience, with professional instruction focused not only on preparing for a performance, but also on building vocal technique, music fundamentals, ensemble skills, and confidence as performers.  Because this expanded program includes additional instruction and resources, the registration cost is higher than in previous years.  You can find more information below about the schedule and everything included in the registration cost.

Register your child for a special holiday experience your child will remember for years to come!  Space is limited so register as soon as possible!  We can’t wait to make music together this holiday season!

Open House Art Show

Arts Attack is a wonderful day at Silver Oak Elementary where we showcase the amazing artistic talent of our students to everyone during the Silver Oak Open House.

Over 400 student artworks were proudly displayed, offering a vibrant and inspiring showcase for parents, staff, and prospective families. The event was a true community effort and a testament to the creativity and hard work of our students.

The Silver Oak PTO extends heartfelt thanks to our:

  • Amazing students for bringing their creative ideas to life on paper,

  • Dedicated teachers for encouraging and inspiriting students' artistic expression,

  • Incredible volunteers for their time and effort in setting up the displays (pictured below), and

  • Supportive parents who came to admire and celebrate the students' art.

We're excited for future art events and always welcome helping hands! If you're interested in volunteering for Fine Arts next year, please reach out to our Fine Arts Director, at soepto.finearts@gmail.com for more details on how you can help.

Silver Oak Elementary School's Dance class is now managed directly through the School/District. Once available, information and registration will be shared through Peachjar.

Some of our Silver Oak Elementary School's 2nd - 6th graders performed at the very 1st Get Up and Dance performance on 4/23/2026. It was energetic, beautiful, and simply magical - the kids did a great job and the ambiance was so happy and cheerful! The audience enjoyed an evening of great moves and made memories with their elementary school children.

Click here or the button below to watch the performance!

Thank you to the CLAP ARTS teachers, Ms. Emily and Ms. Katie, who instructed this fun and joyful Fine Arts Enrichment Program at our school. A special thanks to parent volunteer Susanne Sul for going above and beyond for the dance program.

We look forward to many more shows in the future and are always looking for parents to lead and volunteer to make such events a success.

Interested in volunteering for next year? Please contact Silver Oak PTO Fine Arts Director, Gurkiran Sandhu, for more details on how you can help.
