Silver Oak Fine Arts is comprised of music, art, and performing arts. SOEP/PTO supports both in-class music and art instruction for all grades, as well as coordinates extracurricular Fine Arts programs that students have the option to register for and participate in over the course of the school year.

Our classroom Fine Arts programs are funded by our annual Pledge Drive. Extracurricular offerings are self-funding via registration fees to cover program costs.

CLASSROOM STUDIO ART

Arts Attack is a year long program, offering monthly art projects for the students to complete in the classroom.

Teachers work with students on an art project at the end of the School Year which is displayed for the entire school to enjoy and during Open House for any new families to get a sneak peek at some wonderful art projects that students of Silver Oak Elementary have worked on.

CLASSROOM MUSIC INSTRUCTION

At Silver Oak Elementary, we give a balanced education by providing every class with music instruction. TK/K work on understanding music instruments and how they sound, whereas 1-4th graders enjoy music instruction and learning about notes and 5th/6th grades learn to play Ukulele and perform at the end of the school year.

HOLIDAY CHOIR

Holiday Choir is a wonderful program where students from grades 1st-3rd sing some holiday songs and learn to work in a team environment and singing in Chorus.

UPPER GRADE PLAY

The Upper Grade Play is performed by 4 – 6  graders in the Fall and they are instructed on every aspect of performing in a play from dialogue delivery to performing in front of an audience which definitely prepares them for public speaking in the future.

LOWER GRADE PLAY

The Lower Grade Play is performed by 1st – 3rd graders in the Spring and they are introduced to stage presence and performing in front of an audience. They also learn teamwork, dialogue delivery and gaining confidence on stage.

STUDENT TALENT SHOWCASE

Every year at Silver Oak Elementary, we organize a Talent Show where students get to show off their unique talents in front of an audience and it is always fun to watch so much talent and skills present in the young kids of today.
